Three players from the University of North Carolina football program have been named to the Senior Bowl Top 300 List for the 2025 season. The selection, made by the Senior Bowl scouting department, recognizes top draft-eligible college football players ahead of the upcoming National Football League Draft.

The Senior Bowl’s group, staffed entirely by former National Football League scouts, reviews over 2,000 prospects annually from all levels of college football. Their evaluation process results in a list identifying standout performers expected to draw attention during the draft cycle.

Marcus Allen, returning for his senior year at North Carolina, is one of those recognized. Allen started full time last season and logged 36 tackles with two interceptions. Expectations are high that Allen will continue to play an important role in the team’s secondary this coming season.

Thaddeus Dixon also received recognition on the list. A transfer from Washington, Dixon earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors last season with 43 tackles and 10 pass breakups.

Daniel King rounds out North Carolina’s selections to the Top 300. King is transferring from Troy after two seasons there. His performance last year was highlighted by being graded as the Sun Belt Conference’s fourth-best blocker by Pro Football Focus and contributing to both a 1,000-yard rusher and receiver.

The official social media account for Carolina Football extended congratulations: “Congratulations to @thed0cta44, @MarcusXAllen7, and @DanielKing_CHS for being named to the @seniorbowl Top 300 List!…: https://t.co/CLUPdKq8D6https://t.co/r3aXcYehbT,” according to Carolina Football (@UNCFootball) on August 20, 2025.

With this recognition secured before their final collegiate seasons, these three players are expected to be key contributors as North Carolina pursues a successful campaign in college football this fall.
