The second season of “The Triple Option,” a video podcast centered on college football, has launched as announced by Sinclair’s AMP Media. The podcast is hosted by Urban Meyer, Mark Ingram II, and Rob Stone, who bring varied perspectives as a former head coach, a former player, and a sports broadcaster.

The new season began with an interview featuring Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, currently ranked as the top college football player in the country. The hosts plan to continue offering commentary on leadership, player experience, and current issues in college football.

Meyer, known for his three national championships as head coach at Ohio State and Florida, discusses decision-making and team culture. Ingram shares insights from his career as a Heisman Trophy winner at Alabama and a running back in the National Football League for teams including the New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens, and Houston Texans. Stone offers the perspective of a veteran broadcaster.

“Getting to team up with Mark and Rob on The Triple Option has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my career. We challenge each other, we laugh, and we share perspectives that fans don’t often get to hear (…) I’m especially grateful to Sinclair for providing this platform that allows us to bring those conversations to life and connect with the passionate college football community in such a meaningful way,” said Coach Urban Meyer.

“The Triple Option” is regularly recognized among Apple’s top sports podcasts. Key moments from the show have appeared in media outlets including ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Yahoo, Men’s Journal, and USA Today.

Rich Cooke, Vice President of Audio Programming at Sinclair’s AMP Media said: “The Triple Option has established itself as a premier destination for college football fans, with perspective from the game’s most respected voices. We’re excited to launch Season 2, which will continue to bring audiences closer to the stories, personalities, and moments that define the sport.”

Season two continues its relationships with several sponsors such as Wendy’s (Presenting Sponsor), FanDuel (Gaming Partner), NHTSA, ZipRecruiter and others.

Eric Welles, Chief Digital Monetization Officer at Sinclair added: “Our sponsors are an integral part of The Triple Option’s success, helping us turn the show into more than just a podcast — but an experience (…) With trusted partners returning for Season 2, and new relationships to be announced, we’re building momentum, delivering bigger stories and moments, and connecting brands with one of the most passionate fan bases in sports.”

During its first season, “The Triple Option” featured guests like National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell; Ohio State Head Coach Ryan Day; former Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban; Oregon Head Coach Dan Lanning; Notre Dame Head Coach Marcus Freeman; Penn State Head Coach James Franklin; Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Charles Woodson; College Football Hall of Fame Enshrinees Vince Young and Mack Brown; Southeastern Conference Commissioner Greg Sankey; and Big 12 Conference Commissioner Brett Yormark.

Last year also included live broadcasts from events such as Army-Navy Game’s Media Row presented by USAA and AMP Media’s Draft House Experience in Green Bay. More live event coverage is expected for 2026.
