Tim Brown, known as “Brownie,” passed away on July 9, 2025, in Picton, Ontario, Canada. He was 82 years old. Born in Port Washington to Elliott and Gladys (Pearson) Brown on January 19, 1942, Tim attended local schools and graduated from Port High in 1960. During high school, he excelled in football and earned a scholarship to Iowa State.
After college, Tim moved to Canada to play for the semi-professional team the Canada Rifles of the Continental Football League. In Toronto, he met his wife Judy Connelly. Tim is survived by his children Samantha and Shane (Courtney), grandson Macsen of Toronto, brother Tod Brown of Port Washington, niece Donya Elsten of Bullhead City, Arizona, and niece Cari Parker of Los Angeles. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy; parents Elliott and Gladys Brown; brother Giles; and nephew Danny.
Tim Brown’s career as a wide receiver included 1,094 receptions and 14,934 receiving yards. He is remembered for nine Pro Bowl selections and setting numerous records with the Oakland Raiders.
