Pro Football Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas is set to make an appearance at Innovative Field in Rochester, New York, on Tuesday. The former Buffalo Bills running back will be signing autographs from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Fans can purchase photographs and baseballs, and each attendee is allowed one free autograph.
The event also features a minor league baseball promotion with the world’s most autographed ball—a massive eight-foot, 1,200-pound replica baseball—which will roll through the field at 5 p.m. Rochester is one of 15 cities participating in this effort to break a world record.
Rochester Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason expressed excitement about the event: “We are constantly looking for new and unique ways to create memories for our fans, and this allows them to literally be a part of history!” He added that the team feels honored to be chosen as one of the stops on this historic tour.
The first 100 fans at the event will receive a promotional baseball from Rawlings, with one lucky fan winning a $250 Rawlings gift card.
Thurman Thomas was selected by the Buffalo Bills as the 40th overall pick in the second round of the 1988 NFL Draft. Over his career, he achieved 12,074 rushing yards, 4,458 receiving yards, and scored 65 rushing touchdowns.
