About half a dozen Texas A&M football players received preseason recognition this week. Two members of the team, Ar’Maj Reed-Adams and Taurean York, were named to the 2025 preseason Associated Press All-American team. Six others earned preseason All-SEC honors.
Reed-Adams, who plays guard for the Aggies, was named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press. Linebacker Taurean York earned second-team All-American honors. Senior running back Le’Veon Moss made the preseason All-SEC first team.
The trio of offensive linemen—Reed-Adams, Trey Zuhn III, and Chase Bisontis—along with senior cornerback Will Lee III, were named to the second All-SEC team. York also received third-team conference recognition.
Reed-Adams is serving as a captain for the first time in his second season with Texas A&M. In his 12 starts last season, he contributed to an Aggie rushing attack that ranked No. 26 nationally and second in the Southeastern Conference, averaging 195.5 yards per game. He allowed one sack all season and had the fewest pressures allowed among teammates with more than 200 pass-blocking snaps.
York is beginning his third year in College Station and has been named a captain for the second consecutive season. He has received several additional preseason honors including spots on watch lists for major awards: the Butkus Award, Chuck Bednarik Award, and Lott Impact Trophy. These recognitions come after a 2024 campaign where he led his team with 82 tackles and ranked No. 12 in tackles among Southeastern Conference players.
Nic Scourton was Texas A&M’s sole preseason All-American in 2024 before being selected in the NFL Draft that same year.
The Aggies begin their 2025 football season at Kyle Field against UTSA on Aug. 30 at 6 p.m.
