Terry Bradshaw has confirmed he will return to Fox NFL Sunday for the 2025 football season, addressing recent speculation about his retirement. The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee made the announcement in a video posted from Hawaii, sharing with fans that he will travel back to Los Angeles in two weeks to prepare for the upcoming season.
“In two weeks, I’ll have to go back to Los Angeles, get ready for football season. (…) Today with my family, my brother, Gary, and everyone, my agent, we’re going to go play golf,” Bradshaw said during his video message.
Bradshaw’s comments come after persistent rumors regarding his retirement following a long broadcast career that spans over three decades at Fox. Earlier this year at Super Bowl LIX media day in New Orleans, he addressed the question directly: “I told my wife before I even left the room a while ago, I was sitting there, and I said, ‘I’ve got two years left at Fox. I’m 76… It’s a young man’s game. I get that. So I said, if we can get to the next Super Bowl, I’ll be 80. I think that’s time.'”
However, despite acknowledging the demands of television and covering major events such as 13 Super Bowls and multiple Lombardi Trophy presentations, Bradshaw reiterated his active approach toward both work and personal pursuits. In a May interview with Fox 32 Chicago he stated: “The minute you retire is the day you start dying. (…) I’m not going to quit singing. I’m not going to quit giving lectures. I’m not going to stop the horse business.”
Contractually secured through 2026 with Fox Sports, Bradshaw also indicated some openness regarding his timeline: “If FOX wants me around for the next Super Bowl… If I could, I would probably stay four more years, and I’d be 80, and that’s enough. And two more years might be enough,” he added.
In addition to broadcast duties with Curt Menefee, Howie Long, Michael Strahan and Rob Gronkowski on Fox NFL Sunday this fall, Bradshaw updated fans on other ventures during his Hawaii trip: “Ohana Beverage Company is the distributor now of Bradshaw Bourbon, which is back on the islands,” he announced.
Bradshaw remains engaged in several projects outside of broadcasting including public speaking and managing personal business interests such as his bourbon label.
With these statements and ongoing commitments in media and business activities alike—alongside family priorities—Bradshaw has made it clear that any immediate plans for retirement are off the table.
