Philadelphia sports icon Terrell Owens has voiced his support for Candace Parker’s criticism of the WNBA All-Star game. Parker, a notable figure in women’s basketball, discussed her views on the game during the first episode of her “Post Moves” podcast, which she shared on Instagram. The episode featured Aliyah Boston as a guest, where they talked about media scrutiny and pay issues in the WNBA.

Parker expressed her disappointment with players wearing “Pay Us What You Owe Us” shirts during the All-Star game. She argued that such actions were inconsistent with their performance at the event. “Y’all cannot come out there with those shirts of ‘Pay Us What You Owe Us,’ and then do that in the All-Star Game,” Parker said.

Boston responded by defending the players’ efforts, emphasizing their consistent performance throughout the season. “We come out every single night and we show why we deserve the money we deserve,” Boston said. She added that having fun at an All-Star game was acceptable given their demanding schedule.

Despite Boston’s defense, Parker maintained her stance, highlighting it as a missed opportunity to showcase their worth on a significant platform. “I think it was just an opportunity, to me, on one of the biggest stages, with those shirts being worn,” Parker said.

Owens agreed with Parker’s perspective in a comment on her post: “Facts!!! Missed opportunity to SHOW why you DESERVE TO GET PAID!!”

Throughout his career as a wide receiver, Owens made 1,078 receptions and scored 153 touchdowns, accumulating 15,934 receiving yards. He is well-remembered for his pivotal catch against the Green Bay Packers in 1998.
