Ten Mountain West football players have been named to the 2025 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List. The announcement was made by SPORTyler, Inc., in partnership with the City of Tyler, Visit Tyler, and the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas leads among Mountain West institutions with three players on the list. Boise State, Colorado State, Hawai‘i, New Mexico, San Diego State, San José State and Wyoming each have one representative.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award honors the top offensive player in Division I football who demonstrates qualities associated with Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community involvement and tenacity—particularly the ability to persist and determination to overcome adversity or injury while pursuing goals. To be eligible for nomination, a player must have either played football at and graduated from a Texas high school or currently play at a Texas Division I four-year college.

This year’s initial watch list will be reduced to up to 16 semifinalists in November. In December, as many as five finalists will be chosen by a panel that includes broadcasters, commentators, journalists, fans and former award recipients. The winner will be announced in December and recognized during The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Banquet scheduled for Jan. 21 in Tyler, Texas.

A player does not need to appear on the watch list released today to remain eligible for consideration; candidates are nominated by their schools. Last year’s award went to Ashton Jeanty of Boise State.

Mountain West representatives on this year’s watch list include: Latrell Caples (Boise State), Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi (Colorado State), Pofele Ashlock (Hawai‘i), Damon Bankston (New Mexico), Myles Kitt-Denton (San Diego State), Leland Smith (San José State), JoJo Earle (UNLV), Troy Omeire (UNLV), Alex Orji (UNLV) and Kaden Anderson (Wyoming).
