Former Pittsburgh Steelers player Lynn Swann is joining the board of Excelitas Technologies Corp., a company based in the Strip District. Excelitas CEO Ron Keating and Swann have previously worked together when Keating was CEO of Evoqua Water Technologies, where Swann was also a board member. After Evoqua’s acquisition by Xylem Inc. in May 2023, Swann joined Xylem’s board as part of the merger agreement. Following this, Keating became CEO of Excelitas, which relocated to the Strip District from Massachusetts last year.

Excelitas operates in various sectors such as life sciences and defense, focusing on designing and developing advanced technologies like cameras and sensors. “We are honored to welcome Lynn to the Excelitas board,” said Keating in a statement. “Lynn’s unique blend of leadership, integrity and public engagement aligns perfectly with our core values. His insights will be invaluable as we continue to expand our global footprint and deliver on our corporate purpose to enrich life and be innovation driven.”
