St. Joseph’s Prep faces American Heritage in nationally televised high school football matchup

Friday night will feature a prominent high school football game as St. Joseph’s Prep from Pennsylvania travels to Florida to face American Heritage at the Broward County High School National Football Showcase. The game begins at 6 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN2.

American Heritage comes into the matchup with multiple players committed to FBS programs, including Texas-bound quarterback Dia Bell, who recently threw two touchdowns in an exhibition victory over McArthur High School. Wide receiver Brandon Bennett, committed to Florida State, recorded 24 receptions for 509 yards and seven touchdowns last season but may miss this week due to a hamstring injury.

St. Joseph’s Prep has nine players with Power Four offers on its roster. Notable among them are quarterback Charlie Foulke, last year’s Pennsylvania 6A Player of the Year who passed for 2,481 yards and 30 touchdowns as a sophomore, and wide receiver Jett Harrison. Harrison is ranked as one of the top sophomores in the country and is the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Marvin Harrison.

Alex Haskell, defensive lineman for St. Joseph’s Prep and No. 17 prospect in Pennsylvania per Rivals Industry Rankings, has committed to Penn State. Cornerback Simaj Hill recently switched his commitment from James Madison to West Virginia in June, while linebacker Brandon Lockley holds offers from Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, and Tennessee.

On the American Heritage side, linebacker Kymani Morales has committed to Georgia Tech, defensive back Jeffar Jean-Noel has also pledged Georgia Tech, and four-star cornerback Amare Nugent is a recent transfer holding several major program offers.
