Colorado quarterback Kaidon Salter and wide receiver Dre’lon Miller have been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watchlist for the upcoming college football season. The award honors the top Division I offensive player from Texas each year.

Salter, who transferred to Colorado after a notable stint at Liberty, was recognized as Conference USA Most Valuable Player in 2023. In that season, he achieved 2,876 passing yards and more than 1,000 rushing yards. While his statistics declined last year, he is expected to perform strongly for the Buffaloes this season.

Miller contributed significantly during his freshman year with Colorado by recording 32 receptions for 277 yards and three touchdowns. He played multiple roles on offense and is projected to be a mainstay at the slot position.

The preseason watchlist includes 102 players representing nine conferences. The list will be narrowed to up to sixteen semifinalists in November and five finalists in December. A committee consisting of broadcasters, commentators, journalists, fans and previous winners will determine these selections. The winner will be announced during The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Banquet scheduled for Jan. 21.
