Marv Levy, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee and former Buffalo Bills head coach, is not deceased despite rumors circulating on social media. According to an article by Rob Banks published on NewsBreak, there has been widespread misinformation online announcing that Levy had died.

Levy recently celebrated his 100th birthday at the beginning of August. However, following his milestone birthday, numerous posts appeared across various platforms falsely claiming his death. These claims were quickly shared and spread among users, with some even posting old photos from Levy’s coaching days in Orchard Park, New York.

Banks addressed the rumors directly in his report: “No, he did not. These Facebook posts that been circulating and shared are either AI written or just plain made up. It is insane what the internet can do, but it is also a little scary the fake accounts that people believe and are willing to reshare. Be careful as to what you are sharing.”

The NewsBreak article notes that after speaking to community members and verifying available information, there is no evidence supporting the reports of Levy’s passing.

The story comes as the Buffalo Bills prepare for their new stadium project and discussions continue about former player Gabe Davis possibly returning to play for the team. Despite these unrelated topics trending among fans online, the main takeaway remains clear: Marv Levy is alive.
