Former New England Patriots linebacker Rob Ninkovich recently shared which quarterbacks he enjoyed sacking the most during his NFL career. Speaking on the “Dudes on Dudes” podcast, Ninkovich named Peyton Manning and Eli Manning as his top picks.
“Peyton, when I was at Purdue and they were playing the Steelers, after the game he went to this bar, and the agent that was trying to recruit me took me to the same bar. And I remember looking at him like, ‘That’s Peyton Manning.’ And then fast forward 12 years, sack fumble on him and stuff. It’s awesome,” Ninkovich recalled.
Peyton Manning was a long-time rival of Tom Brady and the Patriots, while Eli Manning secured two Super Bowl victories over Brady’s team. Ninkovich himself is a two-time Super Bowl champion and recorded 46 sacks over an 11-year career with the Patriots.
Ninkovich played a significant role in several memorable games against both Manning brothers. He takes pride in having sacked two quarterbacks who each have two Super Bowl wins under their belts.
