Rob Gronkowski, a former NFL tight end known for his four Super Bowl wins, has shared his prediction for the winner of Super Bowl LX. In a promotional video with FanDuel Sportsbook, Gronkowski stated that he expects the Detroit Lions to claim their first Super Bowl title by defeating the Buffalo Bills.

“Who will win the Super Bowl?” Gronkowski said in the video. “Well, I got the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills, and the Lions bring home their first Super Bowl ever.”

If Gronkowski’s prediction holds true, both teams would be representing fan bases that have yet to see a championship. The Lions came close in previous seasons but fell short in critical moments. Most recently, they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2023 NFC Championship Game and were upset by Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders as top seed last year.

Gronkowski believes this could be the third time lucky for Dan Campbell and quarterback Jared Goff. For Buffalo, reaching this stage would mark its first return since losing four consecutive title games from 1990-1993; however, according to Gronkowski’s prediction, they are expected to fall short again.

The list of division winners according to Gronkowski includes:
– AFC East: Buffalo Bills
– AFC North: Pittsburgh Steelers
– AFC South: Houston Texans
– AFC West: Kansas City Chiefs
– NFC East: Philadelphia Eagles
– NFC North: Detroit Lions
– NFC South: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
– NFC West: Los Angeles Rams

Gronkowski also commented on other key teams and players not making it back to recent form. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs would miss out on their usual trip to the final game for only the second time since their loss against Joe Burrow and Cincinnati Bengals in 2021. Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens are predicted by Gronkowski for another disappointing finish.

Since retiring from football after his tenure with Tom Brady at both New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Gronkowski has been working as an analyst for FOX alongside Michael Strahan, Terry Bradshaw and others.

Whether or not these predictions materialize remains uncertain as fans await if either city will celebrate its long-awaited victory.
