Philadelphia Eagles safety Reed Blankenship’s jersey from Super Bowl LIX is now featured at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. During the game, Blankenship recorded three combined tackles and one solo tackle, contributing to the Eagles’ 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on February 9, 2025.
Blankenship played a crucial role in an Eagles secondary that limited Patrick Mahomes to 21-of-32 passing for 257 yards while forcing two interceptions. The defensive unit was instrumental in holding the Chiefs scoreless in the first half, allowing their offense to establish a commanding 24-0 lead. This victory marked the Eagles’ second Super Bowl win since 2018.
Despite going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, Blankenship has become a key player for the Eagles. He participated in his second Super Bowl within three seasons, earning four starts as a rookie in 2022 and becoming a full-time starter by 2023.
The Eagles finished their 2024 season with a record of 14-3, supported by a defense that led the league by allowing only 174.2 passing yards per game. Blankenship achieved a career-high with four interceptions during this season and set postseason personal bests in solo, assisted, and combined tackles.
Alongside Blankenship’s jersey at the Hall of Fame is Cooper DeJean’s game-worn cleats from Super Bowl LIX. DeJean notably intercepted Mahomes and returned it for a touchdown during the game.
