Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 1995 marks three decades since induction

A group of football legends inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995 is marking their 30-year anniversary. The class includes executive Jim Finks, defensive tackles Henry Jordan and Lee Roy Selmon, wide receiver Steve Largent, and tight end Kellen Winslow.

Jim Finks is noted for his role in revitalizing teams such as the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints. He was instrumental in drafting 19 of the Bears’ 22 starters for their Super Bowl-winning team in 1985. Under his leadership, the Vikings secured five divisional titles and made two Super Bowl appearances. In New Orleans, he led the Saints to their first division title in 1991. Additionally, Finks served on the NFL’s competition committee and played as a quarterback and defensive back for the Pittsburgh Steelers over six seasons.

Finks had a distinguished career spanning 27 seasons as a coach and administrator before being enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995.
