A former Badger football player, Owen Seaver, has been named to the Gene Upshaw Award Watchlist. This award is given annually to the top offensive or defensive lineman in NCAA Division II football.

Seaver is one of only five defensive linemen across the country to earn a spot on the list. His selection comes after he was named the 2024 Lone Star Conference Defensive Lineman of the Year. Seaver has also received recognition by being named to the Division II Football Elite list.
