Morgan Wallen kicked off his “I’m the Problem” tour in Houston with a notable entrance alongside NFL legend Andre Johnson and local businessman Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale. The event took place at NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans, on Friday, June 20.
Wallen, 32, made his entrance with Johnson, a former Texans player known for his impressive career stats, including 14,185 receiving yards and 1,062 receptions. Their walk was broadcast on the stadium’s jumbotrons while Wallen’s song “Broadway Girls” played.
Jim McIngvale, a well-known Houston philanthropist and owner of Gallery Furniture, joined them during this moment. The appearance was shared on Wallen’s Instagram account and received comments from fellow country artist Jelly Roll who wrote: “Just when I think you can’t goat yourself anymore – you bring out Mack in Houston- CRAZZYYYYY. Love you bubba.”
The concert marks the beginning of Wallen’s 20-date tour which will run until September 13 across ten cities. Supporting acts include Koe Wetzel, Miranda Lambert, Brooks & Dunn, Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, and Thomas Rhett.
Johnson is remembered for setting a franchise record with 273 receiving yards in a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012.
