Morgan Wallen began his “I’m the Problem” tour with a notable entrance at Houston’s NRG Stadium on June 20. The country music star, known for dramatic stage entries, was accompanied by former NFL player Andre Johnson and Houston businessman Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale. The event was highlighted by Wallen’s song “Broadway Girls” playing as they appeared on the stadium’s jumbotrons.
The walkout, a regular feature of Wallen’s performances, has previously included appearances by sports figures like Travis Kelce and Tom Brady. This particular moment was shared on Wallen’s Instagram, drawing comments from fellow musician Jelly Roll, who expressed admiration for the unique introduction.
Wallen’s concert in Houston marks the beginning of a 20-date tour that will run until September 13, covering ten cities. Supporting acts include Koe Wetzel, Miranda Lambert, Brooks & Dunn, Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, and Thomas Rhett.
Discussing his preparation for the tour with Apple Music Country, Wallen emphasized the physical demands of performing live compared to recording in a studio. His latest album, “I’m the Problem,” has topped the Billboard 200 chart since its release on May 16.
