Larry Wilson played for the Cardinals from 1960 to 1972 and made significant contributions to the team. During his career, he recorded 52 interceptions and led the league with 10 interceptions in 1966. He was named to the All-Pro First Team five consecutive times from 1966 to 1970 and participated in eight Pro Bowls. His performance in 1966 earned him second place in MVP voting as he returned two interceptions for touchdowns over a span of 14 games.
Wilson’s legacy extends beyond his playing years. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1978 during his first year of eligibility. Additionally, he was named to both the NFL’s 75th Anniversary All-Time Team in 1994 and its 100th Anniversary All-Time Team in 2019.
