After reviewing standout players across six position groups, High School On SI has announced its 2025 preseason all-state team for Michigan high school football. The list includes 44 players, divided into first and second teams for both offense and defense.

Cass Technical High School, which holds the Division 1 championship title, leads with five selections among the two teams. Saline High School follows closely with four representatives. Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, Detroit Catholic Central, and De La Salle Collegiate each have three student-athletes featured.

The Michigan high school football season is set to begin on Thursday, Aug. 28.

On the first team offense, Tommy Carr of Saline is recognized at quarterback after achieving 2,510 passing yards and 27 touchdowns last season; he is committed to Miami (OH). He has family ties to Notre Dame quarterback C.J. Carr and former Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr. Running back honors go to Kory Amachree from Haslett—committed to Kansas—who posted nearly 1,400 all-purpose yards as a junior with nineteen touchdowns. Jayden Terry from Grandville joins him in the backfield after surpassing 1,800 rushing yards in his previous season; he has pledged to Ferris State.

The wide receiver group highlights Samson Gash from Detroit Catholic Central (731 receiving yards and twelve touchdowns) and Dakota Guerrant of Harper Woods (1,600 all-purpose yards as a sophomore). Georgia commit Lincoln Keyes of Saline earns tight end honors following an eight-touchdown junior year.

First-team offensive linemen include Gregory Patrick of Portage Northern (Notre Dame), Khalief Canty of Cass Tech, Benjamin Eziuka of Detroit Catholic Central (Penn State), Ben Nichols of Davison (Notre Dame), and Sullivan Garvin from Allegan (Notre Dame).

Defensively on the first team are Darrius Summers from Cass Tech—key contributor during their championship run—and William Reed of Oak Park (Buffalo). Recarder Kitchen from Muskegon returns following a forty tackle-for-loss campaign as a junior prospect; Isaiah Harris from Saline (Miami OH) rounds out defensive line selections.

Notable linebackers include Nathan Gersh from Dexter (120 tackles in 2024; committed to Toledo), Charlie Jilek of Portage Central (UCF) noted for his hybrid role between linebacker and strong safety, and Brody Sink from Notre Dame Prep who helped his school secure their inaugural Division 5 state title.

First-team defensive backs are Corey Sadler Jr. from Cass Tech—a North Carolina pledge identified as Michigan’s top player entering this season—alongside Marcello Vitti of Divine Child (Iowa), Marcus Jennings also of Cass Tech (Pitt), and David Williams of De La Salle Collegiate (Central Michigan).

The second team features additional standouts including Jaxson Dosh at quarterback for Davison; running backs Izaiah Wright for Gibraltar Carlson and Michael Dukes at Rutgers; wide receivers Damion King for De La Salle Collegiate and Charles Britton III for Belleville; as well as key contributors across all line positions on both sides.
