The University of Louisville football team’s tight ends coach Ryan Wallace, along with players Jaleel Skinner and Jacob Stewart, spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon about the upcoming season and developments within their position group.

Wallace discussed changes in the tight end room as Louisville prepares for its 2025 campaign. Skinner was highlighted as a significant contributor during fall camp, saying he has added over 15 pounds during the offseason and improved his run blocking skills. Stewart, who has participated with the first team at times in practice, is seeking to secure a role as a pass-catching option.

Louisville will begin its season against Eastern Kentucky at L&N Stadium in 10 days.

No direct quotes were provided from Wallace, Skinner or Stewart during the availability.

Louisville tight end Jamari Johnson and Jaleel Skinner recently celebrated a late touchdown together in a game against Virginia, reflecting ongoing efforts among returning and new players to solidify roles ahead of the regular season.

The program continues preparations leading up to its opener while several position battles remain ongoing across the roster.

Louisville football running back Isaac Brown was recently named to the preseason Paul Hornung Award Watchlist.

Further updates from team representatives are expected as preseason practices progress.
