Kurt Warner has commented on a mistake that led to Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson’s injury. The incident occurred during the Colts’ preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens as they prepared for the 2025 NFL season. Richardson, who is expected to be the full-time starter, suffered a hand injury after being sacked in the first quarter and did not return to the game. He completed two passes for 21 yards before his exit.
Warner shared his analysis of the play on social media, pointing out an error in handling pressure. “An early preseason example of having a ‘pressure plan’… OL sliding left, QB responsible for the LBer on the Right, he comes OT correctly squeezes to make furthest guy away the HOT guy… AR has to see this and dish to RB or TE to the right!” Warner said.
Kurt Warner is known for his illustrious career as a quarterback, earning two NFL MVP awards and a Super Bowl MVP. His performance in Super Bowl XXXIV, where he led the St. Louis Rams with 414 passing yards, is remembered as one of the most notable in NFL history.
