Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen recently addressed the potential of joining Peyton Manning‘s ‘Quarterback’ series, as well as his reaction to the team’s participation in HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks.’ During an interview with USA Today Sports, Allen was asked about possibly being part of Manning’s series for its rumored third season. His response was cautious: “I’d have to think about it,” he said, adding humorously, “Did he tell you to ask me that question?”

Allen is among several quarterbacks who have not immediately embraced the project. According to The Athletic, notable QBs like Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert declined participation last year due to concerns about distractions. NFL policy changes now require playoff teams like Buffalo to be featured on such shows, a move that has been met with mixed reactions from players.

The announcement that the Bills would be on ‘Hard Knocks’ came on May 21st, coinciding with Allen’s birthday. Reflecting on his initial reaction, Allen told USA Today Sports, “I probably initially didn’t react too great to it.” Despite this, he acknowledged the opportunity for fans to see more of the team: “It could be a fun opportunity for a lot of guys to show their personality.”

Allen emphasized maintaining focus amidst the added attention: “We got to keep the main thing the main thing.” He expressed confidence in his team’s ability to handle the spotlight without letting it affect their performance. “We’re not gonna let that become what we are,” he said.

Peyton Manning had an illustrious career in the NFL, throwing for 71,940 passing yards and 539 touchdowns. He was selected for 14 Pro Bowls and won five MVP awards during his time as a quarterback.
