The Jones family’s sports properties, including Legends Hospitality and The Star in Frisco, have a combined value of $15.53 billion.
CNBC senior sports reporter Michael Ozanian commented on Jones’ achievements: “He’s really done it with just three assets.” He noted that the Cowboys are the most valuable team in the NFL, valued at $11 billion, making them the most valuable sports team globally.
Jones purchased the Cowboys in 1989 for approximately $150 million. His empire is now only surpassed by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, which owns several major teams and is valued at $21.17 billion. This group is led by Stanley Kroenke and Josh Kroenke.
Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment ranks third with properties like the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia 76ers, valued at $14.58 billion.
Throughout his career as an owner, president, and general manager, Jerry Jones has won three NFC Championships and 12 NFC Division Championships, along with three Super Bowl victories. He is known for transforming the Dallas Cowboys into one of the world’s most valuable sports franchises.
