One of the grandsons of Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Art Rooney has died at age 51. Matthew “Dutch” Rooney, son of the late John Rooney, was found dead last week in his home in East Hampton, New York.

The Pittsburgh Steelers released a statement to the New York Post: “The Rooney Family is mourning the loss of Matthew.” Born in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania, Matthew Rooney had recently been elected to the Metropolitan Museum’s board and served as an Advisory Director earlier this year.

The Metropolitan Museum stated via The New York Times, “On behalf of our entire company, we extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends.” An obituary described him as follows: “Matthew’s wit, charm and love of fashion made him one of life’s last true Dandies and an authentic Bon Vivant.”

Authorities have not yet revealed a cause of death.
