Returning for the 2025 high school football season, the Beaver County Times sports staff and its freelance writers will be providing picks on each matchup involving teams from their coverage area. The new season opens with numerous non-conference games, many featuring head-to-head meetings between Beaver Valley schools.

Readers are encouraged to follow the sports team’s predictions throughout the year as they track which contributor makes the most correct selections. The three individuals making picks this season are Ethan Morrison, Josh Carney, and Bill Allmann.

Ethan Morrison is entering his fifth year covering WPIAL athletics for the Beaver County Times and his second year focused on high school sports in the Beaver Valley as a sports reporter at the paper. Josh Carney is the Pennsylvania/Ohio Sports editor and previously worked as a sports reporter at the Beaver County Times. His introduction to Beaver County football occurred when his Highlands Rams were defeated by Blackhawk led by Zack Hayward in the 2008 WPIAL playoffs. Bill Allmann has covered WPIAL athletics for 37 years for the newspaper. According to information provided, “From Darrelle Revis to Rushel Shell, Bill has seen it all, and then some!”
