Florida Gators football program will send five players to the 2026 NFL Draft after Panini released its Senior Bowl Top 300 list. The new list, which was trimmed from 850 to 300 players this year, features some of the nation’s top college athletes. Four of Florida’s representatives come from the offensive or defensive line.
Senior Bowl executive director Drew Fabianich explained the reason for reducing the number of prospects on the list: “raise the bar and truly spotlight the top-tier talent across the country.”
Center Jake Slaughter and left tackle Austin Barber represent Florida’s offensive line. On defense, Tyreak Sapp is returning for his final season with seven sacks and thirteen tackles for loss in 2024, while Caleb Banks anchors the interior defensive line. Banks is also listed on both Chuck Bednarik Award and Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch lists for his performance.
Transfer wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant was included as well despite coming off a less productive season at UCLA with twenty-two receptions for three hundred fifteen yards. His past record suggests he could become a significant contributor if he makes it into the NFL.
Being named to this exclusive group has typically been an indicator of NFL success, as half of those picked in rounds one through three of the previous NFL Draft participated in the Panini Senior Bowl.
The selections suggest strong performances are expected from Florida’s offensive and defensive lines in 2025.
