August 22 marks the ninetieth birthday of author Annie Proulx. Baseball Hall of Fame member Carl Yastrzemski will be 86. Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee coach Bill Parcells is turning 84. Also reaching milestones are writer-producer David Chase and retired CBS newsman Steve Kroft, both aged 80, along with rock singer Roland Orzabal (Tears For Fears) at age 64.
On August 23, actor Vera Miles celebrates her ninety-sixth birthday while actor Barbara Eden turns ninety-four. Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Sonny Jurgensen is now ninety-one.
