Being part of a well-known football family, Texas quarterback Arch Manning has been receiving advice from his uncles, Eli and Peyton Manning, as he prepares for his first season as a starter. The attention surrounding Arch Manning has grown, with both fans and analysts projecting him to be a leading quarterback this season and even compete for the national championship.

ESPN’s Seth Wickersham shared details during an episode of “Pablo Torre Finds Out” about how Arch Manning seeks guidance from his uncles. According to Wickersham, “I think that that’s fascinating. And when, when Arch asks his uncles for help, he tends to ask Peyton the football questions, and then Peyton leaves him like a seven-minute voice message. Peyton loves the voice or the voice memo, and then he realizes he forgot a couple details, so he leaves a couple more. Yeah. And then when he calls Eli, it tends to be about, how do you handle fame, how do you handle scrutiny?” Wickersham continued, “And you know, Eli gives him some some advice. I mean, one of the things is, never be photographed drinking like with alcohol, because if you blink when the picture is getting taken that will live forever on the internet. Eli is really good thinking about how to not make things easy for the outside forces that feed on you.”

Arch Manning’s handling of public life was also discussed in relation to comments made by his grandfather Archie Manning regarding NFL Draft plans. Although many analysts project Arch Manning as a likely No. 1 draft pick in the future, there remains uncertainty about whether he will declare after one season at Texas or stay longer.

Recently at a press conference on Aug. 19, Arch Manning addressed remarks made by Archie Manning suggesting he would return to Texas after the 2025 season. The younger Manning responded candidly that he does not know where his grandfather got that information and added that Archie had apologized for making such comments publicly. He clarified that no final decision has been made about his future in college football and said he is taking each day as it comes.
