Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe have secured their positions in the next round of the NASCAR Cup playoffs after winning the first two races. As a result, both drivers will compete at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend without the pressure facing other contenders.

Hamlin, who has four previous wins at Bristol—three during the night race—will aim for his 60th career Cup victory. Achieving this milestone would place him among the top 10 all-time Cup race winners, tying him with Kevin Harvick.

“You just never know what you’re going to get when you go to Bristol,” Hamlin said. “But on top of that, you know, we got a new tire as one of my favorite racetracks. I’m looking forward to going all out.”

A win on Sunday would keep Hamlin’s championship hopes intact—a goal that has remained out of reach for him over his twenty-year racing career.
