Deion Sanders recently welcomed Travis Hunter, the second overall pick in the NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, to his estate in Canton, Texas. The visit included a fishing trip that was shared on Instagram. Sanders, who has been recovering from health issues possibly related to blood clots, has been away from Colorado for nearly two months.
Hunter and Sanders share a love for fishing, which they enjoyed together during this visit. Despite missing Hunter’s wedding to Leanna De La Fuente in Tennessee on May 24, Sanders appeared in good spirits during their time together. The former Jackson State star is reportedly recovering well after facing significant health challenges.
Hunter has shown promise during the Jaguars’ rookie minicamp and other training sessions, playing both cornerback and wide receiver. His performance echoes his impactful play under Sanders at Jackson State and Colorado.
Sanders’ sons are also making strides in their respective NFL teams. Shedeur is with the Cleveland Browns and Shilo with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, Michael Irvin visited Sanders and expressed optimism about his friend’s recovery.
As Coach Prime continues his recovery in Texas, Andreu Swasey is leading the Buffaloes’ summer workouts.
