In the world of football, divisional rivalries are often intense, with the NFC North being no exception. Recently, Caleb Williams expressed his disdain for Green Bay Packers fans, saying they “straight suck.” Williams recounted an incident during his rookie year at Lambeau Field where he attempted a Lambeau Leap after a victory, only to be pushed off by Packers fans.

Minnesota Vikings legend Cris Carter weighed in on the situation, suggesting that Williams should have been more aware of the history and dynamics within the division. Carter mentioned that Packers fans have a reputation for being unfriendly to opposing teams’ players, dating back to Randy Moss’s infamous mooning incident. “When you leave Lambeau, people are mooning you,” Carter explained. He advised Williams against celebrating in such a manner in another team’s stadium.

Carter shared his own experience with the Lambeau Leap, noting it was successful because it took place at the MetroDome. He criticized Williams’s attempt as lacking awareness and understanding of territorial boundaries. “You can’t jump into the stands, that’s stupid… That’s their territory,” Carter said.

Reflecting on Moss’s iconic celebration during a 2005 playoff game against the Packers, Carter highlighted how Moss capitalized on an opportunity after learning they would face Green Bay again following a regular season sweep by the Packers. The Vikings won that game 31-17, with Moss’s actions leaving a lasting impression.

As for Williams, having experienced this rivalry firsthand, he now looks forward to contributing to its storied history.
