Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Kaidon Salter and wide receiver Dre’lon Miller have been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watchlist. The award recognizes the nation’s most outstanding Division I offensive player from the state of Texas. This year, 102 players from nine conferences are included on the preseason list.
Salter joined the Buffaloes after a successful run at Liberty, where he earned Conference USA MVP honors in 2023 with 2,876 passing yards and over 1,000 rushing yards. His performance declined last season but expectations remain high for his potential impact in Boulder.
Miller had a strong freshman year with Colorado, recording 32 receptions for 277 yards and three touchdowns. He played several positions on offense, including time at running back, and is expected to be a key contributor in the slot position.
The list of candidates will be narrowed to up to 16 semifinalists in November and up to five finalists in December. Finalists will be selected by a committee comprised of broadcasters, commentators, journalists, fans, and previous winners. The recipient of the award will be announced at The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Banquet scheduled for Jan. 21.
