In its latest update, Madden NFL 26 Mobile introduces Dual Player Cards, a new feature aimed at giving players more options in building their Ultimate Team lineups. These cards combine two different athletes into a single card, letting users assign the card to either position depending on team needs.
For example, one card can feature quarterback Lamar Jackson and wide receiver Zay Flowers. Placing the card in the quarterback slot assigns Jackson; placing it as a wide receiver assigns Flowers. Some cards also allow a single player to fill their primary role or an “Out of Position” role, such as a Ja’Marr Chase card usable as both wide receiver and kick returner.
Each live event in Madden NFL 26 Mobile includes a Dual Player Card drop. The ongoing Campus Heroes event offers players a chance to acquire a Charles Woodson and Reggie Bush Dual Player Card that functions as either cornerback (Woodson) or halfback (Bush).
Switching between positions involves moving the card to the desired lineup spot. According to the information provided, “when you add the card to your lineup, you simply place it in the position you want it to play (…) The game will automatically recognize it as [the corresponding player]. (…) This on-the-fly positional change allows you to adapt your team strategy easily, especially as you acquire new players.”
It is possible to field both members of a Dual Player Card simultaneously by acquiring two copies of that specific card. However, one copy cannot be assigned to two spots at once.
There are additional benefits with certain versions of these cards. For example, having both Mythic Dual Cards gives each one a +2 overall rating boost for an unlimited time; owning only one grants that card +1 overall rating. Iconic Dual Cards offer similar boosts but with effects lasting only 30 days.
