Central Catholic defeated Woodland Hills 58-20 during the Pro Football Hall of Fame High School Classic at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The game was part of a triple-header event that included four Ohio schools. Each participating school has a Pro Football Hall of Fame player as an alumnus, including Central Catholic’s Dan Marino, who was enshrined in 2005, and Woodland Hills’ Jason Taylor, who was enshrined in 2017.

Central Catholic quarterback Owen Herrick accounted for four touchdowns to lead his team. Herrick threw two touchdown passes to Maceo Watkins and Max Roman in the first quarter and added a one-yard rushing touchdown. He later connected with Aiden Nasiadka for another score in the third quarter.

Roman Thompson ran for three touchdowns on runs of 35, two, and one yard. Thompson also scored three times in the previous week’s win over Pine-Richland.

For Woodland Hills, Cam Walter found Scoop Smith for two touchdowns, with receptions of six and forty-six yards.

The event highlighted connections to the Pro Football Hall of Fame among Western Pennsylvania high school programs.

Additionally, in another game at Summit Academy, Freedom’s Kaden Bailey scored touchdowns via reception, punt return, and run as Freedom secured a 43-16 win over Summit Academy.
