After a standout first season with the Las Vegas Raiders, tight end Brock Bowers has been ranked No. 24 on the NFL Top 100 list. This placement marks his first appearance on the annual list, which highlights top players as determined by their peers.

Bowers had a notable rookie year in Las Vegas, consistently contributing to the Raiders offense regardless of changes at quarterback. He set a new record for most receptions by a rookie tight end and surpassed Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Mike Ditka’s record for receiving yards by a tight end that stood since 1963.

“It was a[n] historic rookie season for Bowers in Las Vegas. Whoever was under center for the Raiders, Bowers was the consistent threat in Vegas’ offense. Bowers set a new rookie record for receptions and broke Hall of Famer Mike Ditka’s 63-year-old TE record for receiving yards set in 1963. Despite not winning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year, Bowers made the Pro Bowl, earned first-team All-Pro honors and now makes an appearance on the Top 100,” Levi Damien wrote for Raiders Wire.

During his college career at Georgia, Bowers became known as one of the top tight ends nationally, earning two Mackey Awards over three seasons.

This year’s NFL Top 100 list also features fellow tight ends George Kittle at No. 31 and Travis Kelce at No. 37. Bowers is currently one of only two Raiders to make this year’s list; defensive end Maxx Crosby is expected to join him as rankings are revealed.
