Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer has provided an optimistic update regarding Micah Parsons ahead of the team’s upcoming season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. In response to questions about Parsons’ situation, Schottenheimer stated, “I feel good,” and offered a wink to the media.
The coach’s brief statement comes after reports suggested uncertainty about Parsons’ availability for the first game of the season and rumors about possible issues with his contract situation. Despite these concerns, Schottenheimer signaled confidence that Parsons will be ready to play.
A post by Clarence Hill Jr recounted: “Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer ‘feels good’about holding in Micah Parsons being on the field with the team when they play Philadelphia in the season opener (…) with or without an extension? ‘I feel good’, he responded with a wink.”
Last season, Micah Parsons recorded 12 sacks and 43 tackles. By achieving double-digit sacks again, he joined Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinees Dwight Freeney, Derrick Thomas, and Reggie White as one of only four players to tally at least 10 sacks in each of their first four seasons.
