NFL fans can now watch “America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys,” a new eight-part docuseries, on Netflix. The series explores Jerry Jones’ acquisition of the Dallas Cowboys in 1989 and chronicles how the franchise became a dominant team through the 1990s.
The documentary includes rare game footage, behind-the-scenes stories, and interviews with key figures from that period. Notable personalities featured include Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Troy Aikman, NFL all-time rushing leader Emmitt Smith, Deion Sanders, and coaches Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer.
The full season was released on Aug. 19, allowing viewers to stream all eight episodes at once. Each episode runs between 45 and 68 minutes. The series covers events from front-office decisions to locker room dynamics as it documents the Cowboys’ three Super Bowl victories in four years under Jones.
