Aaron Rodgers has addressed comments made by Terry Bradshaw regarding his recent decision to join the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former Green Bay Packers quarterback, who had considered retirement, ultimately chose to play at least one more season in the NFL.

Terry Bradshaw, a legendary figure in the Steelers’ history, suggested that Rodgers should have retired instead of signing with Pittsburgh. During an interview with analyst Kyle Brandt, Bradshaw’s advice was shared: “Stay in California; chew on bark; and whisper to the Gods.”

Rodgers responded to this during a conversation on Saturday. While acknowledging Bradshaw’s status as a football legend, Rodgers noted that they do not know each other personally. “Well, I whisper to the Gods every single day,” said Rodgers. He added that he respects Bradshaw’s career achievements but expressed interest in getting to know him better.

“If he gave me a chance to get to know him, then we’d have a good friendship because, for me, I have nothing but the utmost amount of respect for what the greats have done,” Rodgers said. He praised past quarterbacks for their contributions to the game and acknowledged their role in paving the way for current players.

Despite differing opinions on his career choices, Rodgers maintains respect for Bradshaw’s accomplishments both on and off the field.

Bradshaw is celebrated for his Hall of Fame career with 32 rushing touchdowns, 212 passing touchdowns, and 27,989 passing yards. His standout performance in Super Bowl XIII remains a highlight of his career.
